Pisa Leaning Tower …in Alabaster – Free entrance to a masterpiece of Tuscan Handicraft

A very special Art masterpiece representing the active local art handicrafts is visible for free in Volterra. Our most clever Alabaster Master team have realized the world famous Pisa leaning tower Alabaster reproduction.

In scale 1:25, you can see it inside the Exposing Hall of the ex-Civic Hospital, near the main Cathedral (Duomo) in Piazza San Giovanni, in Volterra – (Pisa) from April 20th to December 31st 2011.

To built this masterpiece, a team of local alabaster professional sculptors has been working for 3 years. A wonderful Archetectural repruduction of columns, arches, ornaments of many capitals, windows, lintels, and decorative pieces, inlays, bas-reliefs, mosaics. Every shade of color was observed by choosing hues identical to the original stones as well as elements of metal (bells and ring) and wood (beams and portals, where the bells are suspended).

Opening Time:
Up to Sept. 30th,  2011 everyday from 10,00 to 13,00 and from  15,30 to 19,30.
From Oct. 1st to Dic. 31st on week-ends only or for groups on request.

Free entrance.
